Riccardo handles mainly domestic and international civil litigation as well as extrajudicial matters. He has extensive experience in the areas of trademarks, unfair competition and patents, particularly standard essential patents (SEPs).
Riccardo has been a partner of Spheriens since 2018. Before joining Spheriens, he worked, from 2008, at the law firm Avv. Prof. Adriano Vanzetti e Associati of Milan.
Riccardo is an Adjunct Professor at Bocconi University, where he lectures, in particular, on IP law. He is also a “Cultore della Materia” (i.e., Subject Expert and Teaching Assistant) in IP law at the departments of Law and Economics of the Università Cattolica of Milan. Additionally, he regularly lectures at master and specialization courses, such as the master in IP law of Just Legal Services and the advanced course on “UPC and Patent Litigation” of the University of Milan.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Italian IP law review Giurisprudenza Annotata di Diritto Industriale, for which he has written comments since 2008, and is a co-founder of the blog IPlens – a critical observatory.
He is a member of AIPPI (Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property).
